INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL RESTRUCTURES
ITS EMEAA RESORT SALES AND SERVICE GROUP
FOR CONTINUED GROWTH AND SUCCESS
Miami, FL, July 11, 2011 – Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), is reorganizing its Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia (EMEAA) sales operations to capitalize on its success in these shared ownership markets. The changes include the reassignment and promotions of sales executives and the previously announced regional office opening in Cape Town, South Africa.
With the new structure, David Clifton, the current managing director for EMEAA based in Dubai, will relocate to the U.S. and take on the role of senior executive for business development in the EMEAA. Clifton has also lived in Asia and Europe and is one of the shared ownership industry’s foremost experts in international resort sales and development. He will continue to report to Craig M. Nash, chairman, president, and CEO of Interval Leisure Group.
Commenting on this transition, Nash said, “In his nearly ten years with the company, David has significantly increased Interval’s footprint in many key markets and we are delighted that he will still play a major part in our business development initiatives.”
Also now reporting to Nash, Darren Ettridge has been promoted to senior vice president, resort sales and business development, EMEAA, and assumes responsibility for Asia. He will oversee the teams who manage Interval’s existing resort relationships and generate new business in all these regions. Additionally, Joachim Mezger, who is based in the Stuttgart office, has been promoted to vice president, business development, Europe.
“Interval has enjoyed tremendous success in these markets largely due to the efforts of our dedicated and talented sales teams and executives. They have worked extremely hard to provide great service and innovative products to our resort clients and to attract new entrants to the industry. This realignment will enable the company to further strengthen its leadership position in these important areas,” Nash added.
