INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL ADDS PORTO BELLO GRAND MARINA TO ITS GLOBAL VACATION EXCHANGE NETWORK
Miami, FL, October 9, 2007 – Interval International, a leading provider of vacation services and an operating business of IAC (Nasdaq:IACI), announced the addition of Porto Bello Grand Marina, a fractional property in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico, to its global vacation exchange network. Located in the exclusive 740-acre residential community of Puerto Aventuras, the property is a harmonious blend of luxury, style, and the comforts of a second home.
Porto Bello Grand Marina includes 44 one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas with views of the Puerto Aventuras Residential Marina and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Each villa is decorated with elegant furniture crafted from specially selected woods and marble, and includes a living room, dining room, full kitchen with granite countertops, modern appliances and electronic equipment, and a hot tub in the spacious terrace. Phase one, which includes 22 villas, has been completed, and phase two, with an additional 22 villas, will be completed at the end of 2009.
“We are very pleased to add this top-quality fractional resort with exceptional amenities and services to our exchange network. Interval is proud to be working with Román Riviera Torres, whose long and successful track record in the Mayan Riviera speaks for itself,” said Marcos Agostini, assistant vice president for Latin America, resort sales and service, Interval International. “He continues to be a trail blazer in our industry, not only because he created Puerto Aventuras, but also because he, along with fractional expert Carlos Espinosa, introduced the fractional system to the Yucatán in 2002 with Porto Bello Marina and Villas.”
“We are committed to building high-caliber products such as Porto Bello Grand Marina, our second fractional project in Puerto Aventuras,” said Riviera Torres, president and founder of Puerto Aventuras. “We affiliated this property with Interval International because of the excellent service the company offers our owners. Customer satisfaction is as important to Interval as it is to us.”
Four Mexican partners are behind Porto Bello Grand Marina. In addition to Riviera Torres who began developing Puerto Aventuras in 1987, which today is one of the leading beach, marina, and golf residential communities in Mexico, they include Espinosa, with 27 years of experience in the real estate market; Gustavo Segrove, owner of ACAD construction company; and Javier Rodríguez, a pharmaceutical industrialist. In total, the partners have more than 40 years of experience in the development and sale of properties in the Mayan Rivera.
Guests can enjoy the wide range of amenities, services, and activities Puerto Aventuras offers, including a full-service 450-yacht marina, a shopping center with a spa and multiple retail stores, a gourmet restaurant, cafés, a discotheque, a supermarket, a church, a school, a maritime museum, water sports (sports fishing, professional diving and snorkeling in a coral reef, swims with dolphins, sailing, wind-surfing), an 18-hole golf course designed by Tom Lehman, tennis courts, and horseback riding.
