INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL AND PARTICIPATING RESORT PARTNERS MARK 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF SUPPORT TO CARIBEAN HOTEL & TOURISM ASSOCIATION EDUCATION FOUNDATION
Miami, Florida, January 30, 2015 – Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services, and its participating member resorts recently made a $30,000 donation to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF) at Caribbean Travel Marketplace in Puerto Rico. Neil Kolton, Interval’s director of resort sales and service for the Caribbean and Florida, presented the check to foundation executives during the opening ceremony of the event.
“We are proud to have collaborated with our resort clients to support this important cause for the last decade. These donations have helped many scholarship recipients advance their careers and have had a positive impact on the hospitality industry,” said Kolton.
“The foundation thanks Interval and its member resorts for their generous and continued support. Their dedication has allowed us to increase the number of scholarships and grants awarded annually to deserving candidates,” said Richard S. Kahn, chairman of CHTAEF. “By providing these opportunities, we are able to assist in the education of skilled professionals, who serve as the backbone of the tourism industry.”

The CHTAEF was established in 1987 as a non-profit,tax-exempt organization through which scholarships and special assistance would be made available for the education of Caribbean hotel industry personnel and students pursuing careers in tourism. As part of its mission, it provides people throughout the region with an awareness of the industry’s varied career opportunities, as well as technical and professional development. To date, the CHTAEF has awarded approximately US$2 million in scholarships and grants to applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to the hotel and tourism industry.
