INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL AND MEMBER RESORTS LEAD SUPPORT OF CARIBBEAN TOURISM ORGANIZATION FOUNDATION
Miami, FL, October 11, 2012 – Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services, and participating Caribbean-based member resorts, donated $20,000 to the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) Foundation. Neil Kolton, Interval’s director of resort sales and service for the Caribbean and Florida, presented foundation executives with the contribution during this week’s CTO State of the Industry Conference held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino.
“Interval extends its gratitude to the resorts that have generously supported the foundation’s education initiatives during the past decade,” said Kolton. “More than $200,000 has been given to this important cause, enabling many Caribbean nationals to advance their careers in tourism.”
“The tourism sector is a major economic driver in the Caribbean, so it is essential to provide access to higher education that helps develop a skilled local workforce. This in turn enhances the region’s competitive position,” said Hugh Riley, secretary general of CTO. “We commend Interval and its resort partners for being one of the largest financial supporters of the foundation. The donation will greatly assist us in awarding additional scholarships to deserving individuals.”
