INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL TO HOST
SHARED OWNERSHIP INVESTMENT CONFERENCES IN SOUTH AFRICA
LONDON, 15 May 2012 - Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), will host Shared Ownership Investment Conferences on 26 June in Cape Town and 28 June in Sandton. Interval created the conferences in 1998 to educate prospective entrants, lenders, and government officials about resort development opportunities around the globe. Investment conferences were held previously in South Africa in 2010.
“We are proud that past events have drawn thousands of attendees interested in shared ownership. Our investment conferences are now regarded among the most prestigious in the business,” said Darren Ettridge, Interval’s senior vice president of resort sales and business development for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. “We are looking forward to providing attendees at the forthcoming events a fresh look at shared ownership opportunities in this thriving destination.”
The conferences will be co-sponsored by ENS, Africa’s largest law firm, and held in its offices. “I found it a really valuable and informative experience participating in the last series of workshops,” said Shelley Mackay-Davidson, director of the corporate commercial department of ENS. “I am really looking forward to being involved again in these events and to discussing the various challenges and innovations in this exciting industry. We are delighted to be platinum sponsors and we look forward to hosting the conferences.”
Delegates will hear industry leaders share their experiences and participate in networking opportunities and interactive Q&A sessions. Deon Viljoen, director of operations for Southern Sun Resorts commented, "Sharing ideas and the energy at conferences has been a highlight of my career and helps get innovation going. I know these events will be just that for all participants and I'm delighted to be involved.”
Shared Ownership Investment Conferences are designed for senior executives in the hospitality, real estate, finance, leisure, and government sectors. Space at both events is limited and registration information is available by contacting Interval International by phone on +27 (0)21 554 9727 or by email to SouthAfrica@intervalintl.com.
