INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL AND PARTICIPATING RESORTS
PRESENT CHTA EDUCATION FOUNDATION WITH $60,000 DONATION
Miami, FL, April 26, 2012 – Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and its participating Caribbean member resorts made another record donation to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) Education Foundation. David Callaghan, Interval’s vice president of resort sales and service, presented Foundation executives with a $60,000 check at the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico, surpassing last year’s $50,000 contribution.
“We are very appreciative of the commitment of our member resorts to the CHTA Education Foundation. Through our collective efforts, we have had a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of individuals pursuing careers in the hospitality and tourism industry,” noted Callaghan.
“The Foundation is able to provide many more scholarships as a result of the donations from valued supporters like Interval and its resort partners,” said Tom Pas, chairman of the CHTA Education Foundation. “They play a vital role in funding higher education for Caribbean nationals who in turn contribute to the success of the industry.”

The CHTA Education Foundation was established in 1987 as a non-profit/ tax-exempt organization through which scholarships and special assistance would be made available for the education of Caribbean hotel industry personnel and students pursuing careers in tourism. As part of its mission, it provides people throughout the region with an awareness of the industry’s varied career opportunities, as well as technical and professional development. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded US$1.5 million in scholarships and grants to applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to the hotel and tourism industry.
