Miami, FL, October 17, 2011 – Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), announced that Azul Fives Hotel & Private Residences by Karisma in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, has joined its global exchange network. This is the second property operated by Karisma Hotels & Resorts to affiliate with Interval, following Azul Sensatori in 2009. Azul Fives also features Karisma’s innovative Gourmet Inclusive concept created to appeal to sophisticated travelers with its host of upscale all-inclusive amenities and services.

Just minutes north of Playa del Carmen, the property includes 294 units on an ecological park with views of white-sand beaches and turquoise waters. The spacious two- and three-bedroom layouts feature contemporary designer furnishings in dark woods, ample living and dining areas, oversized terraces, kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and LCD flat screen televisions.

The on-site amenities and services include restaurants, bars and lounges, the 15,500 square-foot Vassa Spa with multiple treatment rooms, fitness center, Azulitos Kid’s Club designed by Fisher-Price, private beach club, swimming pools, tennis court, business center, Wi-Fi access, concierge services, housekeeping, and 24-hour room service.
In Playa del Carmen, visitors can enjoy Fifth Avenue, a pedestrian-friendly walkway lined with eclectic shops, nightclubs, and a variety of restaurants. Sightseeing trips to the renowned Mayan archaeological sites of Tulum, Coba, and Chichen Itza, and other regional attractions are also accessible nearby.
