INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL PROMOTES INDUSTRY GROWTH
WITH SHARED OWNERSHIP INVESTMENT CONFERENCE
Miami, FL, October 10, 2011 – Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), will host the 13th annual Shared Ownership Investment Conference from October 17 through19 at The Peabody Orlando. This forum will offer a thorough overview of shared ownership to real estate and hospitality professionals that are considering entering the business or converting an existing asset.
On the conference agenda are sessions led by top industry experts that will explore the business models of traditional timesharing, fractional development, and private residence clubs. Featured speaker Jeffrey Ma, who co-founded Citizen Sports, a visionary sports media company, will explain how Web 2.0 is changing business and revolutionizing branding. Attendees will also hear from Peter C. Yesawich, Ph.D., the widely quoted marketing strategist and trend-spotter, who will present findings from his agency’s 2011 Portrait of American Travelerstm.
Among the hundreds registered for next week’s investment gathering are representatives of several large national financial institutions that are involved in shared ownership or have recently entered the business, as well as financiers evaluating the industry.
“We’re proud of the leadership role we’ve taken to communicate the potential that shared ownership offers developers and lenders in the resort real estate sector,” said David Gilbert, Interval’s executive vice president of resort sales and marketing. “These conferences are especially relevant in today’s economic environment, because they provide delegates with valuable information on how to capitalize on the current marketplace.”
Interval has also hosted conferences in Barbados, Budapest, Dubai, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Macau, Beijing, and Shanghai. Events are scheduled in Mumbai and New Delhi later this year.
Registrants can take advantage of numerous educational and networking sessions, and will receive complimentary copies of the latest industry studies from the American Resort Development Association’s (ARDA) International Foundation and Ragatz Associates. They include State of the Vacation Timeshare Industry: United States Study, 2011 Edition; Financial Performance Study, 2011 Edition; Shared Vacation Ownership Prospect Report, 2011 Edition; and 2011 State of the Fractional Interest Industry Report.
