INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL EXECUTIVE RECEIVES
SIGNIFICANT AWARD FROM
AUSTRALIAN TIMESHARE AND HOLIDAY OWNERSHIP COUNCIL

London, 23 August 2011 – Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), announced that Joe Hickman, executive director for Asia Pacific, was recognised with the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Timeshare Industry by the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC). The presentation took place at its 20th annual National Industry Awards ceremony held in the resort town of Surfers Paradise.

The award acknowledges Hickman’s 30-years of experience in all aspects of shared ownership, his numerous contributions to industry growth in the region, and his tireless efforts to educate new entrants, media, and government bodies about the industry.

Hickman was nominated by Craig Wood, chief executive officer of Accor Vacation Club, Australia’s first hotel branded holiday ownership club. Commenting after the award was made, Wood said, “Our nomination reflects the value that we place on Joe and the Interval team as partners in our success. Joe is an exceptional individual and a consummate professional. This win is recognition of the hard work and support that we have all grown to expect from Joe and his team over the years. He was the stand-out nomination and truly deserves this industry accolade.”

Accepting the award, Hickman said, “I was very pleased and surprised to receive this prestigious award. It is quite humbling to have your efforts recognised and rewarded by your industry peers, and I would like to thank my nominator and ATHOC for the honour.”

Hickman is an ATHOC board member and has also served and continues to serve on a variety of industry boards in the region, including the timeshare associations of Thailand and Singapore, the Malaysian Timeshare Federation, Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), and a number of other trade-related bodies.

Interval International will once again be a key sponsor of the upcoming Annual ATHOC Conference that will be held from 11-13 September at the Watermark Hotel in Surfers Paradise. In addition to its support of the council, Interval is a platinum sponsor of the ATHOC Foundation, which contributes funds to children and families in need.
