CARIBBEAN HOTEL ASSOCIATION NAMES MARCOS AGOSTINI
CHAIRMAN OF NEWLY FORMED TIMESHARE COMMITTEE
Miami, FL, June 24, 2004 - The Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA) recently named Marcos Agostini, region director for the Caribbean and Latin America for Interval International, as the Chairman of the newly formed CHA Timeshare Committee. The Timeshare Committee was designed to create awareness of the opportunities in timesharing – one of the fastest-growing segments of the hospitality industry.
“Marcos Agostini’s considerable knowledge of the industry and the region made him the prime candidate for the position of chairman,” said Berthia Parle, president, CHA. “Interval International has demonstrated its commitment to the CHA and the Caribbean region throughout the years.”
“It is an honor to be appointed Chairman of the CHA Timeshare Committee,” said Agostini. “Interval International is committed to the Caribbean hospitality industry and CHA’s efforts to assist Caribbean hoteliers in taking advantage of the opportunities that exist within the timeshare sector.”
The committee will serve as a vehicle to bring together the timeshare community and the hotel industry in the Caribbean and enable CHA to speak to a larger segment of the hospitality industry in the region. It will also help CHA to expand its membership base to include timeshare hotels and developers, as well as broaden the opportunities of Allied members by providing additional outlets for sale of their products.
