HYATT COCONUT PLANTATION RESORT AFFILIATES WITH INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL
Resort Location Receives Industry Renowned Five Star Award
Miami, FL, May 20, 2003 – Interval International, a leading global vacation exchange, leisure lifestyle and travel related benefits provider, today announced the affiliation of Hyatt Coconut Plantation Resort, a vacation-ownership resort located in Bonita Springs, just north of Naples on Florida’s west coast. This resort is the largest Hyatt Vacation Ownership, Inc. project to date in terms of acreage and total number of units – it lies on 33-acres and has 339 units.
The resort’s design is reminiscent of early Florida’s sugar plantations. The interiors are rich with classic West Indies-style furnishings. Guests will enjoy crystal-blue lagoons linked by a lazy river that wanders past private cabanas, as well as tennis, basketball, volleyball, and exercise facilities. A 27-hole Raymond Floyd golf course surrounds the resort. Visitors can take a short boat ride across Estero Bay and spend a day lounging on a white, sandy beach.
Hyatt Coconut Plantation Resort received The Interval International Five Star Award, one of the most prestigious awards in the vacation ownership industry, in recognition of its providing exceptional vacation experiences. To qualify for the Interval International Five Star designation, resorts must first be evaluated according to Interval’s Quality Rating System – an objective, quantitative assessment of the resort’s location, vacation area, facilities, accommodations, and guest services. After qualification, the resort must maintain high levels of exchange guest satisfaction monitored by a Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and regular on-site inspections by Interval personnel.
Owners at Hyatt Vacation Club become members of Interval International and have the opportunity to exchange their accommodations for those at other resorts in Interval’s worldwide network. Members also receive access to specially priced travel and leisure services, quarterly travel magazines and newsletters, printed and electronic international resort directories, and a host of other privileges.
