INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL NAMES DAVID C. GILBERT AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF RESORT SALES AND MARKETING
Miami, FL, January 21, 2003 – Interval International, a leading global vacation exchange company, today announced the promotion of David C. Gilbert to executive vice president of resort sales and marketing. Gilbert reports to Craig M. Nash, chairman and chief executive officer of Interval International.
In this new role, he will continue to direct the affiliation and ongoing servicing of resort clients in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Gilbert will now also oversee corporate marketing, publications, creative services, and public relations.
“Over the past fifteen years, David has been instrumental to Interval’s growth and success in the timeshare industry. We have attracted the leading hospitality brands and independent developers to our resort network and more than tripled the number of quality resorts affiliated with Interval during his tenure with the company,” Nash said. “David’s experience and insight is invaluable as we develop strategies that leverage the benefits and services offered by the USA companies and further enhance our marketing programs.”
Gilbert has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility since he joined Interval, including region sales director, assistant vice president and vice president of Resort Sales and Service. Most recently, he held the position of senior vice president for Resort Sales and Service for the Americas.
He is a member of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) Chairman’s League, the Caribbean Hotel Association and the Urban Land Institute, where he serves on the Resort Development Council. Mr. Gilbert is also a member of the Leadership Circle of the United Way of Miami-Dade.
